Our journey has been marked by unexpected hurdles and obstacles, but ultimately, resilience and strength define our story. Bringing family and real estate together, we proudly serve clients and make a positive difference by doing what we love.
When we least expected it, we received the greatest surprise of our lives. My husband, Andre, and I had wanted another child for a while. Unfortunately, through several miscarriages, we thought it wouldn’t happen. For years, I had been a stay-at-home mom with our oldest son, Jordan, while my husband was a field mechanic for Caterpillar. Wanting to fill my spare time, I began working in real estate. This quickly turned into a full-time job as I realized how demanding it was, but I loved it!
I started selling properties, learning the ins and outs of the industry and building my network. Just when things seemed to be gaining momentum, life threw a curveball our way. I found out I was pregnant just four months into my real estate journey. The news brought immense joy to us, but it also came with its own set of challenges.
Unfortunately, my pregnancy was high-risk, presenting a considerable obstacle in maintaining my real estate career. For the first three months of pregnancy, I was restricted to bed rest. It was difficult attempting to navigate this complex situation. Committed to the health of my family and determined not to let my clients down, I continued working, keeping in touch with clients and coordinating transactions, all while I was at home.
It felt nearly impossible for me not to be as hands-on as I wanted. Once my doctor approved me to go back to work, I jumped right back in and worked tirelessly up until the last trimester. Unfortunately, I was then hospitalized with high blood pressure and preeclampsia, all while having eight deals in escrow.
Clearly, we faced many complications through the birth process. Our son, Dylan, was born eight weeks premature. When we were finally able to bring him home, I was scared to trust anyone else to watch him. He had reflux, meaning he had to sit upright most of the time or else he would stop breathing. So, in his earliest weeks, I had him with me as I worked. It quite literally blended the two things I’m most passionate about: family and helping people in real estate.
After all we had faced, it became clear that I had found something truly special in real estate. At any point, I could have quit, but I didn’t because I am fiercely passionate about the work I do.
Real estate turned into more than a passion when I became the main source of income for our family after Andre was injured at work, leaving him unable to work for a year and a half. This happened around the crash of 2008. I delved into educating myself, learning about short sales, loan modifications and how to navigate the turbulent waters of the changing economy.
Andre received his real estate license in 2013, working part-time with me while maintaining his full-time job in aerospace. He officially became a full-time REALTOR® in 2020. We have supported one another through all the highs and lows in life. Partnering up in real estate was a natural choice, allowing us to combine our strengths to offer even better services for our clients.
When not working, we love boating, camping, off-roading, watching Andre drive modified racecars, and being with our sons. Jordan served in the Air Force and continues to serve in the Air Guard while also working as a network engineer at Northrup Grumman. Dylan is attending Keiser University studying engineering and playing football.
Through several different transactions of buying and selling, we worked with REALTORS® that didn’t value us or our time. We noticed many agents we worked with simply didn’t care. This sparked my initial interest in real estate, driving me to get my license. Our passion for real estate is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and well-represented at every level of the transaction process. It’s not just about closing deals but advocating for the people behind them.
With a son who served in the military, we love representing military personnel, first-time homebuyers, relocations, upgraders and downsizers. We go above and beyond to take care of every detail, from scheduling movers to arranging for handyman services, housekeepers and even carpet cleaning. We're proud to take on even the toughest cases, those that other agents might walk away from. Often, the most challenging situations require the most care and attention; we are happy to provide that! Even after the transaction is over, we remain your REALTORS® for life, here to support you through every new chapter.
